Silverstream Alpaca Stud has sourced some world class genetics including the Accoyo line from Peru, the Hemingway line from North America and the Conquistador/Warrior line from Australia.

We are very proud of our stable of stud males whose progeny are regularly winning broad ribbons in the show ring. To backup our claim, Silverstream bred animals have won the National Alpaca Expo supreme champion huacaya title in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the NZ Royal Show in 2004, 2006, 2007 & 2009 as well as many other supreme champion titles throughout New Zealand.

Blue Grass Southern Warrior has impeccable genetics with Purrumbete
El Dorado, Purrumbete Vanilla and Jolimont Conquistador in his background.
Purrumbete Vanilla, the grand dam is one of the best known females in Australia and has had articles written about her in the AAA alpaca magazine. Southern Warrior is the sire to Silverstream Infinity who won two supremes, four age group and two reserve championships from just six shows in 2010.

We believe that put to fine, coloured females, Southern Warrior will produce
excellent results.

Greenvale Gerado was imported from the Greenvale Alpaca Stud in Victoria, Australia. Greenvale have some of the most beautiful greys in Australia and have won many grey championships in major Australian shows over the years.

Gerado has a very dense but fine fleece with excellent staple length.

Brooklea Ridge Callahan has produced many show champions and World Class Silk Rose was Greenvale’s best dam. She is the dam of Greenvale Pia, one of Australia’s best light brown females.

Show Results - Brutus has produced more champions than any other male in NZ. His progeny have won 55 championships and 14 supremes.

The first ever import to New Zealand from North America. This stud male introduces the remarkable genetics of Rural Allianza Macusani Hemingway, undoubtedly one of the top stud males and an icon of the North American alpaca industry. Brutus will add shear weight, fineness and incredible crimp to your herd. Brutus's progeny have excelled in the show ring with Silverstream Czar leading the charge with eight Supreme Champion wins and eighteen broad ribbon wins.

Silverstream Falcoln is our only medium fawn stud male. He has a beautiful fine, soft handling fleece and an excellent frame. With ILR Alpine Fiber’s Brutus and Cedar House Braveheart in his background, he is packed full of excellent genetics.

The first of Falcoln’s cria have hit the ground – he is passing on his colour and his soft handling fleece characteristics.

Jointly owned by Silverstream, Kaipara Pines, Waitakere and Silverhill Alpaca Stud farms.

Silverstream G-Force has a very fine, soft handling fleece that is very uniform.
Just look at his histogram – not bad for a fourth fleece.

 His sire is EP Cambridge Caesar, the inhouse herd sire at Cambridge Alpaca Stud in South Australia – obtaining his genetics are extremely difficult unless you purchase one of his offspring.

The dam, Cambridge Jollette has been one of Silverstream’s best dams. Her only other offspring is Silverstream Idol who has won numerous age group championships.

G-Force won Supreme Champion Composite Huacaya at Whangarei 2010 and was champion senior male at the 2010 National Alpaca Expo.

Silverstream Godsend ET is Silverstream’s number one herd sire.

He has a very fine, soft handling fleece that is very uniform right to the extremities of his fleece. Just look at his histogram and SRS results – they are fantastic for a working male. Godsend ET has strikingly good looks, stands
proud in the paddock and has excellent conformation.

Jolimont Attitude the sire was purchased from the renowned Shanbrooke Alpaca Stud in Australia and is a son of the legendary Jolimont Sculptor. Attitude’s progeny have done very well in the show ring – refer Camelot Tor.

Pucara Juliana, the dam is Silverstream’s most prized female. Her progeny include Silverstream Czar, Déjà vu and Faberge. Déjà vu and Faberge won the 2008 and 2009 National Alpaca Expo supreme champion huacaya awards.

Collectively Juliana’s progeny have won 18 supreme titles.

Silverstream Godsend ET has excelled in the show ring himself, having won supreme champion at the 2009 NZ Royal, supreme champion white at the 2010 Colourbration and supreme champion at Manawatu 2010.

SHOW RESULTS - National Expo Grey Champion 08, 09 & 10

Silverstream Governor Grey has a superior ultra fine fleece that has a beautiful soft handle to it.

The show results above are testimony to this wonderful fleece. With Brooklea Ridge Callahan, Purrumbete Highlander and World Class Silk Rose in the background, this boy has some excellent genetics that are hard to come by. It is difficult to find a soft handling grey male but we think we may have found one.

Silverstream Evaki is possibly the only certified male by Windsong Valley Iceman in NZ. Iceman is still the only alpaca to ever win the Australian National Show twice in both breed and fleece and today his progeny are keenly sought after. Evaki had a stunning fleece from the day he was born and promised much in the show ring.

He was supreme champion at both the Upper Clutha and Fairlie shows in 2007 and in 2006 he was junior champion male at Ashburton and was placed second in his other three starts.

This is an exceptional stud male with Purrumbete Highlander as the grand sire on both sides.

If it is density, lustre, uniformity and length of staple you are after, then this is the male to use.
