We have a herd of over 250 alpacas of various colours and prices. The prices reflect the quality of the animal, the genetics, the number of female offspring gained from the female in question and the age of the animal. We are one of the very few breeders in New Zealand that are now exporting animals direct to Europe - this is testimony to the quality of our stock and of our pricing.
Silverstream now have their own Pre-Export Isolation Facility and are very interested in talking to buyers from Europe and the UK. We even have an American herd that are dual registered on both the NZ and American alpaca registers.
If you are a visitor from out of town, we offer luxurious farmstay accommodation in self contained units. Come and be our guests and look over our range of 250 alpacas chosen from some of the best genetics from New Zealand, Australia, the US and Peru.
Silverstream Alpaca Stud is part of the voluntary Tb scheme run in conjunction with the Alpaca Association New Zealand. We are in our 7th year as a Tb free farm and our property is not in an endemic part of the country.
Silverstream will warrant the health of any alpaca sold and will offer full after sales service. Any pregnant female will be remated free of charge should she abort during the term of the pregnancy. Agistment is available for any prospective purchaser entering the industry.
Pets
Silverstream Alpaca Stud have wethers for sale which make wonderful pets, priced from $600 to $1000. Please contact us for more information. All prices quoted are GST exclusive. Free delivery within the greater Christchurch and North Canterbury area.
